About Us

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling Service provides an array of therapeutic and individualized supports and services highly integrated within clinical treatment assisting Veterans to achieve and maintain meaningful competitive employment. Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) prioritizes community-based competitive employment as the primary goal of VHA VR participation.

Our Mission

To involve Veterans in a systematic process, which assists persons towards achieving their personal, career, and independent living goals in the most integrated setting possible through the application of the counseling process. Staff work with Veterans to assess their unique vocational, educational, and rehabilitation counseling needs in order to develop a Veteran-centric rehabilitation plan focused on assisting them with achieving their goals to maximize community independence to include, but not limited to their employment and educational goals. We achieve our mission by developing partnerships with local businesses, industry, and other community-based support organizations.
